ഇസ്മാഈലി ശിയാക്കളിലെ ഒരു ഉപവിഭാഗമാണ് ബോറകൾ എന്ന് വിളിച്ചുവരുന്നു. പ്രധാനമായും ഇന്ത്യയിലാണ് ഇവരുള്ളത്. വോഹോറൂൻ എന്ന ഗുജറാത്തി പദത്തിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഈ പേരിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവം. ഹിന്ദുക്കളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്ന് ഇസ്ലാമിലേക്ക് വന്ന ഒരു വൈശ്യ സമുദായമാണ് ബോറകൾ. ഇന്ത്യക്ക് പുറമെ കിഴക്കൻ ആഫ്രിക്ക, മൌറീഷ്യസ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലും ബോറകളുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇവർ ദാവുദ്ബ്നുഖുത്വുബുഷായെ തങ്ങളുടെ നേതാവായി അംഗീകരിച്ചു. ഇവരെ ദാവൂദീ ബോറകൾ എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു. യമനികളിൽ ഭൂരിപക്ഷവും സുലൈമാനുബ്നുഹസൻ എന്ന നേതാവിനെ അംഗീകരിച്ചു. ഇവരെ സുലൈമാനികൾ എന്ന് പറയുന്നു. പത്രപ്രവർത്തകനും ചിന്തകനും എഴുത്തുകാരനുമായ അസ്ഗർ അലി എഞ്ചിനീയർ ദാവൂദി ബോറകളിൽപ്പെട്ട ആളാണ്.
