സബ് സഹാറൻ ആഫ്രിക്കയിൽ വ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഫ്രാങ്കോസി കുടുംബത്തിലെ ചെറിയമരങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു ജനുസ്സാണ് ബെർസമ. സസ്യങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഈ ജീനസ് മെലിയന്തേസി കുടുംബത്തിലാണ് ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.
