ബാൽറ്റ Balta (Old Norse: "Baltey") സ്കോട്‌ലന്റിലെ ഷെറ്റ്‌ലാന്റിലുള്ള ആൾതാമസമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ദ്വീപാണ്.

ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം

ബാൽറ്റ അൺസ്റ്റ്, ബാൽറ്റ എന്നീ സൗണ്ടുകളുടെ കിഴക്കൻ തീരത്തിനടുത്താണ് ഈ ദ്വീപ് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഇതിനു 80 ഹെക്ടേർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുണ്ട്.

ഈ ദ്വീപിന്റെ കിഴക്കൻ വശത്ത് ഒരു പ്രകൃതിദത്തമായ ഒരു ആർച്ച് ഉണ്ട്.

ഇവിടെയാണ് ബ്ർട്ടനിലെ ഏറ്റവും അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന മത്സ്യക്കുഞ്ഞുത്പാദനകേന്ദ്രവും മത്സ്യഫാമും.^[8]

ലൈറ്റ് ഹൗസ്

ബാൽറ്റ ലൈറ്റ് എന്ന ലൈറ്റ് ഹൗസ് ഇവിടെയുണ്ട്. ഇതാണ് ഷെറ്റ്‌ലാന്റിലെ ആദ്യ കോൺക്രീറ്റ് കെട്ടിടം. 1895ൽ ലൈറ്റ് ഹൗസ് രൂപകല്പന ചെയ്തത്, ഡേവിഡ് സ്റ്റീവൻസൺ ആണ്. 2003ൽ ഈ ലൈതൗസ് പൊളിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞ് സൗരോർജ്ജം കൊണ്ടു പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പുതിയ ലൈറ്റ് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.^[9]
