ബാകുവിലെ അറ്റേഷ്ഗാഹ് (from പേർഷ്യൻ: آتشگاه, Atashgāh, Azerbaijani: Atəşgah) സുരഖാനിയിലെ കോട്ട പോലുള്ള ഒരു ക്ഷേത്രമാണ്.[2] അസർബൈജാനിലെ ബാകു പ്രദേശത്താണിത്. പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷയിലും സംസ്കൃതത്തിലുമുള്ള എഴുത്തുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ഇത് ഹിന്ദു ആരാധനാലയമായും സൊരാസ്ത്രിയൻ ക്ഷേത്രമായും ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നതായി മനസ്സിലാക്കാം. "അറ്റാഷ്" (آتش) എന്ന പേർഷ്യൻ വാക്കിന്റെ അർത്ഥം അഗ്നി എന്നാണ്.[3] അഞ്ച് വശങ്ങളുള്ള ഈ സമുച്ചയം പതിനേഴാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലും പതിനെട്ടാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലുമാണ് പണികഴിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.

ഇന്ത്യൻ ഉപഭൂഘണ്ഡത്തിന്റെ വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഭാഗത്തെ സൊരാസ്ത്രീയമതക്കാർ കാസ്പിയൻ പ്രദേശവുമായി വ്യാപാരത്തിലേർപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. അവർ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ഒരു തീർത്ഥാടനകേന്ദ്രമായി കണക്കാക്കിയിരുന്നു. സമീപ്രപ്രദേശത്തെ പെട്രോളിയം പ്ലാന്റുകൾ പ്രകൃതി വാതകം ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ഇവിടത്തെ കെടാവിളക്കിലെ അഗ്നി കെട്ടുപോവുകയും അതോടെ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയുമായിരുന്നു. 1975-ൽ ഇതൊരു മ്യൂസിയമാക്കി മാറ്റി. വർഷം 15000 ആൾക്കാർ ഇവിടം സന്ദർശിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

ചരിത്രം[തിരുത്തുക]

ബാകു അറ്റേഷ്ഗാഹിലെ ഒരു ചുവരെഴുത്ത്. ആദ്യത്തെ വരി: ശ്രീ ഗണേശായ നമഃ എന്നാണ് ആരംഭിക്കുന്നത്. രണ്ടാമത്തെ വരി "ജ്വാലാജി"യെപ്പറ്റിയാണ്. എഴുത്ത് സംവത് 1802 (संवत १८०२, or 1745-46 കോമൺ ഈറ കാലത്തെയാണ് എന്ന് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. താഴെയുള്ള പേർഷ്യൻ എഴുത്ത് ഈ കെട്ടിടത്തിലെ ഏക പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷാ എഴുത്താണ്.[4] വ്യാകരണപ്പിശകുണ്ടെങ്കിലും[4] ഈ ലിഖിതവും അഗ്നിയെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ളതാണ് (آتش). ഹിജറ വർഷം 1158 (١١٥٨) ലേതാണ് ലിഖിതമെന്ന് അറിയാം. ഇതും 1745 കോമൺ ഈറ തന്നെ.

അബ്ഷെരോൺ ഉപദ്വീപിലാണ് ഇത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. യാനാർ ദാഗ് പോലെയുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ഇവിടെ മണ്ണിനടിയിൽ നിന്ന് എണ്ണ ഒലിക്കുകയും ബാഷ്പങ്ങൾ സ്ഥിരമായി കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്.[5]

“എന്നും കത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന തീയുള്ള ഏഴ് ദ്വാരങ്ങൾ” 1683-ൽ ഇവിടം സന്ദർശിച്ച ജർമൻ സഞ്ചാരി എങ്കൽബെർട്ട് കേംഫർ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[6] പത്താം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ എസ്താഖ്രി ബാകുവിനടുത്തായി അഗ്നിയെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നവർ താമസിക്കുന്നുണ്ട് എന്ന് പരാമർശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[7]

ക്ഷേത്രം

മദ്ധ്യകാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ മദ്ധ്യേഷ്യയിൽ ധാരാളം ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹങ്ങളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.[8][9] ബാക്കുവിൽ പഞ്ചാബിലെ മുൽത്താനിൽ നിന്നുള്ളവരും അർമേനിയക്കാരുമായിരുന്നു പ്രാദേശിക സമ്പദ് വ്യവസ്ഥ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചിരുന്നത്.[10] കാസ്പിയൻ കടലിലെ കപ്പലുകളുടെ തടിപ്പണിയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നത് പൊതുവിൽ ഇന്ത്യക്കാരായിരുന്നു.[11] ബാകുവിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ സമൂഹമായിരിക്കണം അറ്റേഷ്ഗാഹ് നിർമ്മിക്കുകയും പുനരുദ്ധരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതെന്ന് ചിലർ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.[9][10]

യൂറോപ്യന്മാർ ഇവിടെ ധാരാളം ഇന്ത്യക്കാരെ കണ്ടതായി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.[11][12][10][13][14]

സാമുവൽ ഗോട്ട്ലിയെബ് ഗ്മെലിനിന്റെ റീസെ ഡുർച് റസ്സ്ലാൻഡ് (1771) എന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥം കാൾ ഐക്ക്വാൾഡ് റീസ് ഇൻ ഡെൻ കോക്കസസ് (സ്റ്റുട്ട്ഗാർട്ട്, 1834) എന്ന ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിൽ ഉദ്ധരിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഗ്മെലിൻ ഇവിടെ ഭക്തർ യോഗാഭ്യാസം ചെയ്യുന്നത് കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഐക്ക്വാൾഡ് രാമൻ, കൃഷ്ണൻ, ഹനുമാൻ, അഗ്നി എന്നിവയുടെ ആരാധനയെപ്പറ്റി പറയുന്നു.[15]

എഴുത്തുകളും നിർമ്മാണകാലവും[തിരുത്തുക]

അറ്റേഷ്ഗാഹിൽ ധാരാളം ലിഖിതങ്ങളുണ്ട്. സംസ്കൃതം പഞ്ചാബി എന്നീ ഭാഷകളിലാണ് മിക്കവയും. ഒരു പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷാ ലിഖിതം മാത്രമാണ് ഇവിടെയുള്ളത്. ഇതോടൊപ്പം ഗണപതിക്കും അഗ്നിക്കുമുള്ള പ്രാർത്ഥനകളുമുണ്ട്.[12] പേർഷ്യൻ ഭാഷയിലെ എഴുത്തുകളിൽ വ്യാകരണപ്പിശകുകളുണ്ടെങ്കിലും സംസ്കൃതത്തിലെയും പേർഷ്യനിലെയും എഴുത്തുകൾ ഒരു വർഷം തന്നെയാണ് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് (1745 കോമൺ ഈറ - സംവത്/संवत 1802/१८०२, ഹിജറ 1158/١١٥٨).[12][16] എല്ലാ ലിഖിതങ്ങളിലെയും തീയതികൾ എടുത്തുനോക്കിയാൽ അവ സംവത് 1725 മുതൽ സംവത് 1873 വരെയുള്ള കാലത്തുള്ളവയാണ്. 1668 കോമൺ ഈറ മുതൽ 1816 കോമൺ ഈറ വരെയുള്ള കാലമാണ് ഇത്.[12] ഇതും കെട്ടിടം പ്രായേണ പുതിയതാണ് എന്ന നിരീക്ഷണവും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്ത് പതിനാറാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലായിരിക്കാം ഇത് പണികഴിപ്പിച്ചത് എന്ന് ചില പണ്ഡിതർ കണക്കാക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.[17][18][12]ഒരു പത്ര റിപ്പോർട്ട് പ്രകാരം ശ്രീവംശഃ രാജവംശത്തിന്റെ പതനവും റഷ്യൻ സാമ്രാജ്യം പേർഷ്യയും റഷ്യയുമായുള്ള യുദ്ധത്തിനുശേഷം ഈ പ്രദേശം പിടിച്ചെടുത്തതും അനുബന്ധിച്ചാണ് പ്രദേശത്തെ ഹിന്ദു വ്യാപാരി സമൂഹം ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം പണികഴിപ്പിച്ചത്.[19]

ദേവനാഗരി ലിപിയിലുള്ള സംസ്കൃത ലിഖിതങ്ങളും ഗുരുമുഖി ലിപിയിലുള്ള പഞ്ചാബി ലിഖിതങ്ങളും സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത് ഈ സ്ഥലം ഹിന്ദു ആരാധനയും സിഖ് ആരാധനയും നടന്നിരുന്ന സ്ഥലമാണ് എന്നാണ്.[4][17] ജ്വാലാജിയ്ക്ക് വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം നിർമിച്ചതെന്നാണ് രേഖപ്പെടു‌ത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്.[4] ഇത് ആധുനിക കാലത്തെ ഹിന്ദു അഗ്നി ദേവസങ്കൽപ്പമാണ്. ജ്വാല (जवाला/ज्वाला) എന്ന വാക്കിന് സംസ്കൃതഭാഷയിലെ അർത്ഥം അഗ്നിനാളം എന്നാണ്.[20] ഹിമാലയത്തിൽ ഹിമാചൽ പ്രദേശിലെ കാങ്ക്ര ജില്ലയിൽ ഒരു ജ്വാലാമുഖി ക്ഷേത്രമുണ്ട്. അറ്റേഷ്ഗാഹിന് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ രൂപവുമായി നല്ല സാമ്യമുണ്ട്. വില്യംസ് ജാക്ക്സണെപ്പോലെയുള്ള വിദഗ്ദ്ധരുടെ അഭിപ്രായത്തിൽ ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം ജ്വാലാമുഖി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ രൂപത്തിൽ നിർമിച്ചതായിരിക്കാൻ സാദ്ധ്യതയുണ്ട്.[4] കാങ്ക്രയിലെ ക്ഷേത്രം ചെറിയ ജ്വാലാജി ആണെന്നും ബാകുവിലെ ക്ഷേത്രം വലിയ ജ്വാലാജി ആണെന്നും ആണ് അക്കാലത്തെ ഭക്തർ വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നത് എന്നാണ് ചില പണ്ഡിതരുടെ അഭിപ്രായം.[17] ഗണപതി, ശിവൻ എന്നീ ദൈവങ്ങളെപ്പറ്റിയും പരാമർശമുണ്ട്. പഞ്ചാബി ഭാഷയിലെ ലിഖിതങ്ങൾ ആദി ഗ്രന്ഥത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വചനങ്ങളാണ്.[4]

പ്രകൃതി വാതകം തീർന്നുപോയത്[തിരുത്തുക]

ഭൂമിക്കടിയിലെ പ്രകൃതിവാതകശേഖരത്തിൽ നിന്നായിരുന്നു. സോവിയറ്റ് ഭരണകാലത്ത് പ്രകൃതിവാതകം കൂടുതലായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ ഇവിടുത്തെ അഗ്നി കെട്ടുപോയി. ഇന്ന് ഇവിടുത്തെ അഗ്നി ബാക്കുവിൽ നിന്നുള്ള വാതകം പൈപ്പിലൂടെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നാണ് കത്തിക്കുന്നത്.[21][22]
