ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ വ്യവസായിയും രാഷ്ട്രീയപ്രവർത്തകനുമാണ് ബദ്റുദ്ദീൻ അജ്മൽ.[2] (12 ഫെബ്രുവരി 1950 ജനനം). 2005-ൽ ഓൾ ഇന്ത്യ യുണൈറ്റഡ് ഡെമോക്രാറ്റിക് ഫ്രണ്ട് (എ.ഐ.യു.ഡി.എഫ്) സ്ഥാപിച്ച[3] അദ്ദേഹം അസമിലെ ദുബ്രി മണ്ഡലത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ലോക്സഭയിലേക്ക് മൂന്ന് തവണ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.[4][5]. ലോകത്തെ ഏറ്റവും സ്വാധീനമുള്ള 500 മുസ്‌ലിംകൾ എന്ന റാങ്കിങ്ങിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പതിവായി ഇടം പിടിക്കാറുണ്ട്. [6] [7] അസം സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ജാമിയത്ത് ഉലമ-ഇ-ഹിന്ദിന്റെ പ്രസിഡന്റ് കൂടിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം.

മധ്യ ആസാമിലെ ഹോജായിയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള നെൽകർഷകനായ ഹാജി അജ്മൽ അലിയുടെ മകനായാണ് 1950-ൽ ബദ്റുദ്ദീൻ ജനിച്ചത്. അതേവർഷം, പിതാവ് മുംബൈയിലേക്ക് മാറിയതോടെ, ഊദ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചുള്ള സുഗന്ധദ്രവ്യ വ്യവസായത്തിൽ പച്ചപിടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. 1960 കളിൽ തുടങ്ങിയ അജ്മൽ പെർഫ്യൂം പെട്ടെന്നുതന്നെ മിഡിൽ ഈസ്റ്റിൽ ഒരു വലിയ ബ്രാൻഡായി വളർന്നു.[8]

ദാറുൽ ഉലൂം ദിയോബന്ദ് സർവകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് ദൈവശാസ്ത്രത്തിലും അറബിയിലും ബിരുദാനന്തര ബിരുദം നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. [9]
