ജോഗിങ് ചെയ്യുകയും അതോടൊപ്പം മാലിന്യം ശേഖരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു വ്യായാമ പ്രവർത്തനമാൺ പ്ലോഗിങ്ങ് (Plogging)[1]. സ്വീഡിഷ് പദമായ 'plocka upp' യിൽ നിന്നാണ് ഈ പദമുണ്ടായത്. 2016ൽ സ്വീഡൻ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് ആരംഭിച്ച ഈ പ്രവർത്തനം 2018 ആവുമ്പോഴേക്കും മറ്റുരാജ്യങ്ങളിലേക്കും പ്രചരിച്ചു. പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് മാലിന്യത്തിനെതിരേയുള്ള അവബോധമുണ്ടാക്കുക എന്ന ലക്ഷ്യത്തോടെയാണ് പ്ലോഗിങ്ങ് പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. ഓട്ടത്തിനിടയിൽ വിവിധ ശരീരചലനങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുകയും അതോടൊപ്പം വഴിയിലുള്ള മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ ശേഖരിക്കുകയുമാണ് ഇതിൽ ചെയ്യുന്നത്.[2][3][4]. എഴുത്തുകാരനായ ഡേവിഡ് സെഡാരിസ് വ്യായാമ ഓട്ടത്തിനിടയിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ നീക്കുന്നത് ഒരു ശീലമാക്കിയിരുന്നു. പ്രശംസനീയമായ പ്രവർത്തനമായി ഇത് പുകഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടു [5][6][7]. എറിക് അൽസ്ട്രോം സ്റ്റോക്ക്ഹോമിൽ പ്ലോഗിംഗ് നടത്തുമായിരുന്നു. ഇതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ഏകീകരിക്കുന്നതിന് Plogga എന്നൊരു വെബ്സൈറ്റ് തന്നെ അദ്ദേഹം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്നു[8][1][9][10] Go Plog! എന്ന സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടന [11]കോലാറിൽ നിന്നും പ്ലോഗിങ്ങ് നടത്തി ടൺ കണക്കിന് മാലിന്യം ശേഖരിക്കുന്നു. ദേശീയ ശുചിത്വ ദിനത്തിൽ പരിസര ശുചീകരണത്തിന് പ്ലോഗിങ്ങ് നിർദ്ദേശിച്ചു വരുന്നു.
