പ്ലസൻറൺ, അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ കാലിഫോർണിയാ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് അലമേഡ കൌണ്ടിയിലുൾപ്പെട്ട ഒരു നഗരമാണ്. 1894-ൽ ഈ നഗരം സംയോജിപ്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. ഓക്ക്ലാൻഡിന് 25 മൈൽ (40 കിമീ) കിഴക്കായും ലിവർമോറിൽ നിന്ന് 6 മൈൽ (9.7 കി. മീ.) പടിഞ്ഞാറായും സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ഈ നഗരം സാൻഫ്രാൻസിസ്കോ ഉൾക്കടൽ മേഖലയുടെ പ്രാന്തപ്രദേശമാണ്. 2010 ലെ യു.എസ്. സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം ഈ നഗരത്തിലെ ആകെ ജനസംഖ്യ 70,285 ആയിരുന്നു. സെൻസസ് ബ്യൂറോയുടെ രേഖകൾ പ്രകാരം 2005 ലും 2007 ലും, അമേരിക്കൻ ഐക്യനാടുകളിലെ ഏറ്റവും സമ്പന്നമായ ഇടത്തരം നഗരമെന്ന പദവി പ്ലസൻറൺ കയ്യടക്കിയിരുന്നു.[9][10]
വർക്ക്ഡേ, എല്ലി മേ, റോച്ചെ മോളിക്യുലർ ഡയഗ്നോസ്റ്റിക്സ്, ബ്ലാക്ക്ഹോക്ക് നെറ്റ്വർക്ക് ഹോൾഡിംഗ്സ്, വീവാ സിസ്റ്റംസ് എന്നീ കമ്പനികളുടെ ആസ്ഥാനം പ്ലസൻറൺ നഗരത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു. കൈസർ പെർമനെന്റെ, സേഫ്വേ, ഓറക്കിൾ, നോർഡ്സ്ട്രോം, മാസിസ് തുടങ്ങിയവയാണ് ഇവിടെ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന മറ്റ് പ്രധാന കമ്പനികൾ.[11] അൽമെഡ കൗണ്ടി സീറ്റ് ഓക്ക്ലാന്റ് ആണെങ്കിലും ഏതാനും കൗണ്ടി ഓഫീസുകളും ഒരു കോടതിയും പ്ലസന്റണിൽ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ജൂൺ മാസത്തിലെ അവസാന ആഴ്ചയിലും ജൂലായ് ആദ്യ ആഴ്ചയിലും കൗണ്ടി മേള നടക്കാറുള്ള അൽമെഡാ കൗണ്ടി ഫെയർഗ്രൗണ്ട്സ് പ്ലസന്റണിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു. നഗരത്തിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറൻ ഭാഗത്തായി പ്ലസന്റൺ റിഡ്ജ് റീജണൽ പാർക്ക് സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നു.
