ജനറൽപ്രാൺ നാഥ് താപ്പർ (മെയ് 23, 1906 – June 23, 1975) ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അഞ്ചാമത്തെ ചീഫ് ഓഫ് ആർമി സ്റ്റാഫ് (ഇന്ത്യ)യാണ്.
സ്വകാര്യ ജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]
ഒരു പ്രമുഖ പഞ്ചാബി കുടുംബത്തിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ജനിച്ചത്. പ്രശസ്ത മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകൻ കരൺ ഥാപ്പർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മകനാണ്. ചരിത്രകാരി റൊമില ഥാപ്പറും ,പ്രകൃതി ഗവേഷകൻ വാല്മീകി ഥാപ്പറും അനന്തരവരാണ്.
1936 മാർച്ചിൽ തായ് റായ് ബഹാദൂർ ബഷീറാം സാഹലിന്റെ മൂത്ത മകളും റായ് ബഹാദൂർ രാംസാരൻ ദാസിന്റെ ചെറുമകളുമായ ബിംല ബഷീരാമിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു. വിജയലക്ഷ്മി പണ്ഡിറ്റിന്റെ മകളും ജവഹർലാൽ നെഹ്‌റുവിന്റെ മരുമകളുമായിരുന്ന നയൻതാര സാഹ്ഗാളിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചിരുന്ന ഗൌതം സാഹ്ഗാളിന്റെ സഹോദരിയായിരുന്നു ബിംല ഥാപ്പർ.

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 മേൽ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം in 1947, India became a Dominion ഉള്ളിൽ ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഓഫ് നേഷൻസ്. As a result, the rank insignia of the British Army, ഉൾപ്പെടുത്താമെന്ന് ട്യുഡർ കിരീടം നാലു-pointed ബാത്ത് സ്റ്റാര് ("pip"), was retained, as ജോർജ്ജ് VI നിലകൊണ്ടു കമാൻഡർ-ഇൻ-ചീഫ് of the Indian Armed Forces. ശേഷം 26 January 1950, when India became a republic, the President of India became കമാൻഡർ-ഇൻ-ചീഫ്, and the ങ്ങൾ സിംഹം പകരം കിരീടം, with a five-pointed star being പകരമായി "pip."
