ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ സർജിക്കൽ ഗൈനക്കോളജിസ്റ്റും ഇന്ത്യൻ കൗൺസിൽ ഓഫ് മെഡിക്കൽ റിസർച്ചിന്റെ ഓങ്കോളജി സംബന്ധിച്ച ഗവേഷണ ഉപദേശക സമിതിയുടെ മുൻ ചെയർമാനുമാണ് പ്രഫുല്ല ബി. രഘുഭായ് ദേശായി. [1] [2] ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ അസ്ഥി മജ്ജ മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കൽ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയ നടത്തിയെന്ന ബഹുമതി അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുണ്ട്, അത് 1983 ൽ അദ്ദേഹം ടീമിനൊപ്പം നടത്തി. [3] മുംബൈയിലെ ടാറ്റ മെമ്മോറിയൽ സെന്ററിലെ (1973–1995) മുൻ ഡയറക്ടറും സൂപ്രണ്ടുമാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. പ്രൊഫസർ എമെറിറ്റസ് എന്ന നിലയിൽ സ്ഥാപനവുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം തുടരുന്നു. [4] മുംബൈയിലെ ബാർഷിയിൽ ടാറ്റ മെമ്മോറിയൽ സെന്റർ സ്ഥാപിച്ച റൂറൽ ക്യാൻസർ സെന്ററിന്റെ സ്ഥാപകരിലൊരാളാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. [5] ബ്രീച്ച് കാൻഡി ഹോസ്പിറ്റലിനെ ശസ്ത്രക്രിയാ ഓങ്കോളജിസ്റ്റായി സേവിക്കുന്നു [6] ഇന്തോ-ഗ്ലോബൽ സമ്മിറ്റ് ഓൺ ഹെഡ് ആന്റ് നെക്ക് ഓങ്കോളജി (ഐജിഎസ്എൻ‌ഒ) അവരുടെ ദേശീയ ഫാക്കൽറ്റി അംഗം. [7]

ഹാർവാർഡ് മെഡിക്കൽ ഇന്റർനാഷണലിന്റെവൊഖാർഡ്റ്റ് മെഡിക്കൽ എക്സലൻസ് അവാർഡ് (2003) ൽ റോയിക്ക് ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. [8] ധന്വന്തരി ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ ധന്വന്തരി അവാർഡ്, [9] കാൻസർ അന്തർദേശീയ കോൺഗ്രസ് ടൈം അച്ചീവ്മെന്റ് അവാർഡ് (2016), [10] ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ യൂണിയൻ എഗെൻസ്റ്റ് കാൻസറിന്റെ മുചിഒ അഥയ്ദെ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ കാൻസർ അവാർഡ് (1998),[11] ബോംബെ മെഡിക്കൽ എയ്ഡ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ കർമയോഗി പുരസ്കാർ. എന്നീ പുരസ്കാരങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. [12] മെഡിക്കൽ ഡോക്ടറായ മീനയെ അദ്ദേഹം വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു, [13] ഓങ്കോളജിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി സേവനത്തിൽ ഏർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന കെയർ ഇന്ത്യ മെഡിക്കൽ സൊസൈറ്റിയുമായി [14] കാൻസറിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള സാമൂഹിക സംരംഭങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്നു. [15] വൈദ്യശാസ്ത്രത്തിന് നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകൾക്ക് 1981 ൽ ഏറ്റവും ഉയർന്ന മൂന്നാമത്തെ സിവിലിയൻ ബഹുമതിയായ പദ്മഭൂഷൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ സർക്കാർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നൽകി. [16]
