കാശ്മീരിന്റെ പടിഞ്ഞാറു ഭാഗത്ത് പാകിസ്താന്റെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിൻ കീഴിൽ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിന്നും പാകിസ്താനിൽ നിന്നും സ്വതന്ത്രമായ ഭരണ സംവിധാനങ്ങളുള്ള ഒരു ഭൂപ്രദേശമാണ് ആസാദ് ജമ്മു ആന്റ് കശ്മീർ അഥവാ ആസാദ് കശ്മീർ (ഉർദു: آزاد جموں و کشمیر‬). മുൻ നാട്ടുരാജ്യമായിരുന്ന ജമ്മു-കാശ്മീരിന്റെ ഭാഗമായിരുന്ന ഈ ഭൂപ്രദേശം, 1947 ൽ ഇന്ത്യയും പാകിസ്താനുമായി നടന്ന ഒന്നാം കാശ്മീർ യുദ്ധത്തിലാണ് പിറവിയെടുത്തത്.

ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ പാക് അധിനിവേശ കശ്മീർ[3] എന്നാണ് വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.[4]
