ജൈനമതത്തിലെ പതിനൊന്നാമതെ തീർത്ഥങ്കരനാണ് സുമതിനാഥൻ. മഹാരാജാവ് വിഷ്ണുരാജന്റെയും മഹാറാണി വിഷ്ണുദ്രിയുടെയും പുത്രനാനായാണ് സുമതിനാഥൻ ജനിച്ചത്. ഫാൽഗുനമാാസത്തിലെ കൃഷ്ണപക്ഷത്തിൽ 12-ആം ദിനമായിരുന്നു ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജനനം. സാരാനാഥിനു സമീപമുള്ള സിംഹപുരിയിൽ വെച്ചാണ് ശ്രേയാംസനാഥൻ ജനിച്ചത്.
