പോർട്ട് നോവൊ (French pronunciation: [pɔʁtɔ.nɔvo]; Hogbonu, Ajashe എന്നിങ്ങനെയും അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു) ബെനിൻറെ തലസ്ഥാനമായ നഗരമാണ്. ഇത് മുൻ ഫ്രഞ്ച് ദഹോമിയുടെ തലസ്ഥാനമായിരുന്നു. 110 ചതുരശ്ര കിലോമീറ്റർ വിസ്തീർണ്ണമുള്ള (42 ചതുരശ്ര മൈൽ) ഈനഗരത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 2002 ലെ കണക്കുകൾ പ്രകാരം 223,552 ആയിരുന്നു.[2][3] പോർട്ടുഗീസ് സാമ്രാജ്യം ഉൾപ്പെടെ നിരവധി യൂറോപ്യൻ സാമ്രാജ്യങ്ങൾ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ട ഭാഗമായി കണക്കാക്കിയിരുന്ന ഈ സ്ഥലം യഥാർത്ഥത്തിൽ ഒരു അടിമവ്യാപാര തുറമുഖമായിട്ടാണ് ആദ്യം വികസിച്ചത്.
