പെർസ്യൻ തിരവെട്ടി (Puffinus persicus) പ്രൊസെല്ലാരിഡേ കുടുംബത്തിലെ ഒരു കടൽപ്പക്ഷിയാണ്, മുമ്പ് ഓഡുബോണിന്റെ ഷിയർ വാട്ടറുമായി (Puffinus lherminieri).[2]കൂട്ടിയിണക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.[3]

- പി. പി. ടെംപറ്റേറ്റർ - (ലൂയറ്റ് & ഹെറെമാൻസ്, 1985): കൊമോറോസിൽ പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നു.
പരിധി
[തിരുത്തുക]പ്രജനനം കഴിഞ്ഞ്, വടക്കൻ ഉപജാതികൾ തെക്കൻ ചെങ്കടൽ, ഏദൻ ഉൾക്കടൽ, സോമാലി തീരം മുതൽ അറേബ്യൻ ഉപദ്വീപിന്റെ തെക്ക് ഭാഗത്തുള്ള ഒമാൻ ഉൾക്കടലിലും, പാക്കിസ്ഥാനിലും, പടിഞ്ഞാറൻഇന്ത്യയിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു.[5] തെക്കൻ ഉപജാതികൾ കൊമോറോസിനും ടാൻസാനിയയ്ക്കും വടക്കൻ മൊസാംബിക് തീരത്തിനും ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പ്രദേശത്താണ് നിലനിൽക്കുന്നത്.[6]
പോപ്പുലേഷൻ
[തിരുത്തുക]നിലവിലുള്ള ഉപജാതികൾ ഒമാനിലെ ഖുരിയ മുരിയ ദ്വീപുകളിലും യെമനിലെ സോകോട്രയിലും ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് ജോഡികകളോളം ഉണ്ടെന്ന് കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, അതേസമയം പി. പി. ടെംപറ്റേറ്റർ കൊമോറോസിലെ മൊഹേലി ദ്വീപിൽ 500-ൽ താഴെ ജോഡികളായിട്ടാണ് കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. വടക്കൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ മഹാസമുദ്രത്തിൽ മറ്റെവിടെയെങ്കിലും കൂടുതൽ പ്രജനന കോളനികൾ കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു, അതിനാൽ മൊത്തം പോപ്പുലേഷനിൽ പ്രായപൂർത്തിയായ 10,000-ത്തിലധികം വ്യക്തികൾ ഉൾപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കാം. പോപ്പുലേഷന്റെ പ്രവണത താഴേക്കാണെന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നത്.[7]
