(2 ജൂലൈ 1922 - 29 ഡിസംബർ 2020), [3] . അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അവന്റ്-ഗാർഡ് ശൈലി, ബഹിരാകാശ യുഗ ഡിസൈനുകൾ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രശസ്തനാണ്. സ്ത്രീ രൂപത്തെ അവഗണിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ജ്യാമിതീയ രൂപങ്ങളും രൂപങ്ങളും അദ്ദേഹം ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. ചിലപ്പോൾ പരീക്ഷണാത്മകവും എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും പ്രായോഗികമല്ലാത്തതുമായ യൂണിസെക്സ് ഫാഷനുകളിലേക്ക് മുന്നേറി, . 1950 ൽ തന്റെ ഫാഷൻ ഹൗസ് സ്ഥാപിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം 1954 ൽ " ബബിൾ ഡ്രസ് " അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.

മരിയ മോണ്ടാഗ്‌നറുടെയും അലസ്സാൻഡ്രോ കാർഡിന്റെയും മകനായി വടക്കൻ ഇറ്റലിയിലെ ട്രെവിസോയ്ക്ക് സമീപമാണ് കാർഡിൻ ജനിച്ചത്. [5] അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ സമ്പന്നരായ വീഞ്ഞ് വ്യാപാരികളായിരുന്നു, പക്ഷേ ഒന്നാം ലോകമഹായുദ്ധത്തിൽ അവരുടെ ധനം നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു. [6] കറുത്ത ഷർട്ടുകളിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെടാനായി അവർ ഇറ്റലി വിട്ട് 1924 ൽ ഫ്രാൻസിലെ സെന്റ് എറ്റിയേനിൽ താമസിച്ചു.
