തെക്കുകിഴക്കൻ ഏഷ്യയിലും ഓസ്ട്രേലിയയിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരിനം ഔഷധ സസ്യമാണ് പഴുതാര കാളി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഹെൽമിന്തോസ്റ്റാക്കൈസ് സെയ്ലാനിക (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Helminthostachys zeylanica) ചതുപ്പു നിറഞ്ഞ പുഴയോര മേഖലയിൽ ധാരാളമായി കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ഈ സസ്യത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ ഭാഗങ്ങളും ഔഷധ ഗുണമുള്ളതാണ്.[1]
