ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര നടിയാണ് ദിഷ പതാനി. 2015 ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ലോഫർ എന്ന തെലുങ്ക് ചലച്ചിത്രമാണ് ആദ്യ ചിത്രം. മഹേന്ദ്ര സിങ് ധോണിയുടെ ജീവിത കഥ പറയുന്ന എം. എസ്. ധോണി:ദി അൺടോൾഡ് സ്‌റ്റോറിയാണ് (2016) എന്ന ബോളിവുഡ് ചിത്രമാണ് ഹിന്ദിയിലെ ആദ്യ ചിത്രം.[3][4]

2015 ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ തെലുങ്ക് ചിത്രമായ ലോഫറിൽ വരുൺ തേജിനോടൊപ്പം ദിഷ പതാനി സിനിമയിൽ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചു.[5] നിർബന്ധിത വിവാഹത്തിൽ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപെടാൻ വീട്ടിൽ നിന്ന് ഓടുന്ന മൗനി എന്ന പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെ വേഷമായിരുന്നു ചിത്രത്തിൽ ദിഷക്ക്.[6] 2016 ൽ ടൈഗർ ഷോറോഫിന്റെ ഒപ്പം ബീഫിക്ക എന്ന സംഗീത വീഡിയോയിലും ദിഷ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. മീറ്റ് ബ്രോസ് എഴുതിയതും സംവിധാനം ചെയ്‌ത ഈ സംഗീത വീഡിയോയിൽ, ആദിതി സിംഗ് ശർമയാണ് ദിഷയുടെ ശബ്ദം നൽകിയത്.[7]

നീരജ് പാണ്ഡേ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത എം. എസ്. ധോണി: ദി അൺടോൾഡ് സ്‌റ്റോറി എന്ന ചിത്രം ദിഷക്ക് കരിയറിൽ ഒരു വഴിത്തിരിവായി. ഇന്ത്യൻ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ടീമിന്റെ മുൻ ക്യാപ്റ്റൻ മഹേന്ദ്ര സിങ് ധോണിയുടെ ജീവിതകഥ പറയുന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ ധോണിയായി അഭിനയിച്ച സുശാന്ത് സിങിന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരിയുടെ വേഷമായിരുന്നു ദിഷക്ക്.[8] കാർ അപകടത്തിൽ മരണമടഞ്ഞ പ്രിയങ്ക ഝായുടെ വേഷമായിരുന്നു ചിത്രത്തിൽ. ഫോക്സ് സ്റ്റാർ സ്റ്റുഡിയോ നിർമ്മിച്ച ഈ ചിത്രം 2016 സെപ്തംബർ 30 നാണ് റിലീസ് ചെയ്തത്.[9] കൂടാതെ, സോനു സൂദുനൊപ്പം ജാക്കി ചാന്റെ കുങ് ഫു യോഗ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലും അഭിനയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.[10]
