തെറാപ്പോഡ വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഒരു ദിനോസർ ആണ് ഡൈലോഫസോറസ്. തുടക്ക ജുറാസ്സിക് കാലത്ത് ഏകദേശം 19.3 കോടി വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു മുമ്പാണ് ഇവ ജീവിച്ചിരുന്നത്. 1954 ൽ ആണ് ആദ്യ വർഗീകരണം നടന്നത്.[1]
ശരീര ഘടന
[തിരുത്തുക]ഏകദേശം നീളം 23 അടി ആണ് കണക്കകിയിടുള്ളത് , ഭാരം ആകട്ടെ അഞ്ഞൂറ് മുതൽ ആയിരം കിലോ വരെയും.[1]തലയിൽ മൂക്കിനും കണ്ണുകൾക്കും മുകളിൽ ഉള്ള അസ്ഥികൊണ്ടുള്ള ഉയർന്ന ആവരണം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഇവയ്ക്ക് .[2]നീളമേറിയ പല്ലുകൾ ആയിരുന്നു ഇവയ്ക്കു, പക്ഷെ ബലം കുറവായിരുന്നു. മേൽ താടിയിൽ 12 പല്ലുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു ഇവയ്ക്ക് .
