[3]അതിൽ സ്കോട്ടിഷ് റെഡ്, റോ മാൻ തുടങ്ങിയവ ഹോളോസെനിലെ മുഴുവൻ ദ്വീപുകളിലും കാണപ്പെടുന്നു. അവസാന ഹിമയുഗത്തിൽ ഇവ മരിക്കാനിടയായ ശേഷം റോമാക്കാരും നോർമന്മാരും ചേർന്ന് നശിച്ചുപോയിരുന്ന മാനുകളെ രണ്ടുതവണ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചു. മറ്റ് മൂന്നുസ്പീഷീസുകളും രക്ഷപെട്ടതോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ വ്യത്യസ്ത സ്പീഷീസുകളെ സ്വതന്ത്രമാക്കിതോ ആണ്.
