ജനറൽ ജയന്തോ നാഥ് ചൗധുരി, OBE (10 June 1908 – 6 ഏപ്രിൽ 1983) 1962 മുതൽ 1966 വരെ ഇന്ത്യൻ കരസേനയുടെ ചീഫ് ഓഫ് ആർമി സ്റ്റാഫ് പദവി വഹിച്ചു.1948 മുതൽ 1949 വരെ ഹൈദരാബാദ് സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ സൈനിക ഗവര്ണര് സ്ഥാനവും വഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് .ഇന്ത്യൻ സേനയിൽ നിന്നും വിരമിച്ച ശേഷം,അദ്ദേഹം 1966 മുതൽ 1969 വരെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ കാനഡയിലെ ഹൈകമ്മീഷണറായിരുന്നു.[1]

  1. ↑ 1.0 1.1 1.2 Upon independence in 1947, India became a Dominion within the British Commonwealth of Nations. As a result, the rank insignia of the British Army, incorporating the Tudor Crown and four-pointed Bath Star ("pip"), was retained, as George VI remained Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Armed Forces. After 26 January 1950, when India became a republic, the President of India became Commander-in-Chief, and the Ashoka Lion replaced the crown, with a five-pointed star being substituted for the "pip."
