The village itself divides into two - Cheruthana North & Cheruthana South. The North Cheruthana: Land is entirely surrounded by by two main rivers; Achankovil River covering the south & west borders & Pamba river passing through the north side. A connecting water body with the two rivers is located on the eastern part of North Cheruthana dividing Ayaparampu North. A vast area of cultivating land has been converted to residential land by the last three decades. A well equipped Primary Health Centre is located in the centre of this village. An LP school is working smoothly to provide basic education to nearby children. Nowadays two or more bus services are connecting this village to nearest town Haripad. Construction of two bridges are on progress to connect with Karuvatta at west side and to South Cheruthana at south side. One temple and one church is there in the village.
