ജാപ്പനീസ് ചെറി മരങ്ങളുടെ പൂക്കളെയാണ്‌ ചെറി ബ്ലോസം അഥവാ സകുറാ (ജാപ്പനീസ് കഞ്ചി: 桜 or 櫻; കടാകാനാ : サクラ; ഹിരാഗാനാ: さくら) എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നത്. ചെറിപ്പഴങ്ങൾ മറ്റൊരു ജനുസ്സിൽ പെട്ട മരങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നാണ്‌ ലഭിക്കുന്നത്.
