രൂപ വിവരണം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഇതൊരു ചെറിയ ഇലക്കുരുവിയാണ്. 10-12 സെ.മീ നീളം വരും. പൂവന് 7-8 ഗ്രാം തൂക്കവും പിടയ്ക്ക് 6-7 ഗ്രാം തൂക്കവും വരും. തവിട്ടു കലർന്ന മങ്ങിയ പച്ച നിറമുള്ള അടിവശം.നീളം കുറഞ്ഞ വെള്ള പുരികമുണ്ട്. കറുത്ത കൊക്കാണുള്ളത്.

കേരളത്തിൽ അപൂർവ്വമായ ഈ പക്ഷിയെ 2019 ഡിസംബറിൽ കാസർക്കോഡ് കുമ്പളയ്ക്കടുത്ത് നിന്ന് ആദ്യമായി പക്ഷിനിരീക്ഷകർക്ക് ചിത്രം ലഭിച്ചു. ഇലക്കുരുവികളുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം ശബ്ദംകൊണ്ട് മാത്രമാണ് പക്ഷി സർവേകളിൽ മുമ്പ് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുള്ളത്.^[6]
