പ്രാഥമികമായി മലയാളം, തമിഴ് സിനിമാമേഖലകളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ നടിയാണ് ഗൗരി ജി കിഷൻ (ജനനംഃ 17 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 1999). '96 (2018) എന്ന സിനിമയിൽ തൃഷ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച ജാനു എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തിന്റെ ചെറുപ്പകാലത്തെ വേഷം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതിലൂടെയാണ് അവർ കലാരംഗത്ത് കൂടുതലായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്, എന്നിരുന്നാലും അവർ തുടർന്ന് അഭിനയിച്ച ചിത്രങ്ങൾ വേണ്ടത്ര വിജയം നേടിയില്ല.[3]

ആദ്യകാല ജീവിതം

1999 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 17ന് പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലയിലെ അടൂരിൽ ഗീതാകിഷൻ, വീണ ദമ്പതികളുടെ മകളായി ഗൗരി ജി കിഷൻ ജനിച്ചു. ഗൗരിയുടെ അമ്മ കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയിലെ വൈക്കം സ്വദേശിയാണ്. [4][5]. തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ ചെന്നൈയിൽ വളർന്ന ഗൗരി ചെന്നൈയിലെ ദി ഹിന്ദു സീനിയർ സെക്കൻഡറി സ്കൂളിൽ സ്കൂളിലാണ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നടത്തിയത്.[3] തുടർന്ന് കർണ്ണാടകയിലെ ബെംഗളൂരുവിലെ ക്രൈസ്റ്റ് യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിൽ നിന്ന് ജേണലിസത്തിൽ ബി.എ ബിരുദം പൂർത്തിയാക്കി.[6]

കരിയർ

'96' (2018) എന്ന തമിഴ് ചിത്രത്തിൽ തൃഷ ജാനുവിന്റെ ചെറുപ്പത്തിലെ വേഷം അഭിനയിച്ചു. ദുബായിൽ ജോലിചെയ്തിരുന്ന അമ്മാവൻ കാസ്റ്റിംഗ് കോളിനെക്കുറിച്ച് പറഞ്ഞതിനെ തുടർന്നാണ് അവർ ഈ വേഷം നേടിയത്.[6] പന്ത്രണ്ടാം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിച്ചിരുന്ന ഗൗരി ഈ ചിത്രത്തിനായി ഒരു ഓഡിഷന് വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.[5][3] ചിത്രത്തിലെ അവരുടെ പ്രകടനത്തിന് നല്ല റിവ്യൂകൾ ലഭിക്കുകയും അങ്ങനെ കൂടുതൽ ചലച്ചിത്രത്തിലേക്ക് ക്ഷണം ലഭിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.[7][8] 2019 ൽ മാർഗംകളി (2019) എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെയാണ് അവർ മലയാള സിനിമയിൽ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചത്.[9] സണ്ണി വെയ്നിനൊപ്പം അനുഗൃഹീതൻ ആന്റണി എന്ന ചിത്രമാണ് ആദ്യം ചെയ്തതെങ്കിലും ചിത്രത്തിൻറെ നിർമ്മാണം വൈകിയതിനാൽ ആദ്യം പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ചിത്രം മാർഗംകളിയായി മാറി.[10][11] മാർഗംകളിയിൽ ബിബിൻ ജോർജിനൊപ്പം അവർ അഭിനയിച്ചു.[12]

2020-ൽ, തെലുങ്കിൽ 96-ന്റെ തെലുങ്ക് റീമേക്കായ ജാനു എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ അവർ തമിഴിലെ തന്റെ വേഷം ആവർത്തിച്ചു.[5] ചിത്രത്തിലെ അവരുടെ പ്രകടനം നിരൂപകരുടെ പ്രശംസ പിടിച്ചുപറ്റി. [13][14] "കൌമാരക്കാരിയായ സാമന്ത എന്ന നിലയിൽ ഗൗരി ജി കിഷൻ മിടുക്കിയാണ്" എന്ന് ദി ഹിന്ദുവിലെ സംഗീത ദേവി ദുണ്ടൂ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.[15] മാസ്റ്റർ (2021) എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിൽ അവർ ഒരു കോളേജ് വിദ്യാർത്ഥിയായി അഭിനയിച്ചു.[9][16] മാരി സെൽവരാജ് സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത കർണൻ എന്ന ധനുഷ് ചിത്രത്തിൽ രജിഷ വിജയൻ, ലക്ഷ്മി പ്രിയ ചന്ദ്രമൌലി എന്നിവർക്കൊപ്പം മൂന്ന് നായികമാരിൽ ഒരാളായി ഗൗരി അഭിനയിച്ചു.[17] [18] ശ്രീദേവി ശോഭൻ ബാബു (2023) എന്ന ടൈറ്റിൽ സ്ത്രീ കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അവർ തെലുങ്കിൽ അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചു.[19]

വിവാദങ്ങൾ

തന്റെ സിനിമ പുറത്തിറങ്ങുന്നതിന് ഒരു ദിവസം മുമ്പ് നടന്ന ഒരു ചലച്ചിത്ര പ്രമോഷൻ പരിപാടിയിൽ, അജ്ഞാതനായ ഒരു യൂട്യൂബർ നടി ഗൗരി ജി. കിഷനോട് അവളുടെ ഭാരം എന്താണെന്ന് ചോദിച്ചു. ഈ ചോദ്യത്തിന് ദേഷ്യത്തോടെ പ്രതികരിച്ച ഗൗരി, ഈ ചോദ്യത്തെ ശരീരത്തെ അപമാനിക്കുന്നതും ലൈംഗികവൽക്കരിക്കുന്നതുമായ പ്രവൃത്തിയാണെന്ന് പറയുകയും അതിൽ നിന്ന് തനിക്ക് എന്ത് നേട്ടമുണ്ടാകുമെന്ന് അജ്ഞാതനായ യൂട്യൂബറോട് ചോദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. പകരം ഡൊണാൾഡ് ട്രംപിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ചോദിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ലെന്ന് അജ്ഞാതനായ യൂട്യൂബർ മറുപടി നൽകി. പുരുഷന്മാർ നിറഞ്ഞ മുറിയിൽ വച്ച് തന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ചതായും അവസാനത്തെ സിനിമയുടെ പ്രമോഷൻ ദിനത്തിൽ തനിക്കൊപ്പം പതിവായി സിനിമാ പ്രമോഷനുകൾ പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിരുന്ന നായിക അഞ്ജു കുര്യൻ ഹാജരായിരുന്നില്ലെന്നും ഗൗരി റിപ്പോർട്ട് ചെയ്തു. അടുത്ത ദിവസം ചിത്രം റിലീസ് ചെയ്യാൻ ഒരുങ്ങിയതിനാൽ ഈ സംഭവം പിആർ ഏജൻസികളുടെ ഒരു സ്റ്റേജ്ഡ് പബ്ലിസിറ്റി സ്റ്റണ്ടായിരിക്കാമെന്ന് ചില വിമർശകർ അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു, ഈ സമ്പ്രദായം കേരളത്തിൽ സാധാരണമാണെങ്കിലും തമിഴിൽ താരതമ്യേന പുതിയതാണ്. അജ്ഞാതനായ ഒരു യൂട്യൂബറുമായി പണമടച്ചുള്ളതോ സ്റ്റേജ്ഡ് പ്രമോഷണൽ സ്റ്റണ്ടുകളോ ഒരാളുടെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ നേട്ടത്തിനായി തമിഴ് പത്രപ്രവർത്തകരുടെ വിശ്വാസ്യതയെ ദുർബലപ്പെടുത്തുമെന്നും ചില നിരീക്ഷകർ ആരോപിച്ചു.[20][21]
