തെന്നിന്ത്യൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര മേഖലയിൽ മലയാളികൾക്കിടയിൽ ഏറ്റവും സുപരിചിത താരമാണ് ഗോപിചന്ദ് അഥവാ തൊട്ടേമ്പുടി ഗോപിചന്ദ്. പ്രധാനമായും തെലുങ്ക് സിനിമയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ നടനാണ്. ആക്ഷൻ സിനിമകളിലെ വേഷങ്ങൾക്ക് പേരുകേട്ട അദ്ദേഹം, തോളി വളപ്പ് (2001) എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ ഒരു പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രത്തെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ജയം (2002), നിജം (2003), വർഷം (2004) തുടങ്ങിയ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ പ്രതിനായകനായി അഭിനയിച്ചതിന് ശേഷം 2004-ൽ യജ്ഞം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെ ശ്രദ്ധേയനായി.

യജ്ഞം (2004), രണം (2006), ശൗര്യം (2008), ശംഖം (2009), സാഹസം (2013), ലൗക്യം (2014), ജിൽ (2015), ഗൗതം നന്ദ (2017), ഓക്സിജൻ (2017), എന്നിവയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ കൃതികൾ. ചാണക്യ (2019), സീതിമാർ (2021). ആക്ഷൻ സ്റ്റാർ, മാചോ സ്റ്റാർ എന്നീ പേരുകളിൽ അദ്ദേഹം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു[3][4]. ഇദ്ദേഹം അഭിനയിച്ച സിനിമകൾ മലയാളത്തിൽ ഡബ് ചെയ്ത് റീലീസ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ആദ്യകാലജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

ഗോപിചന്ദ് ജനിച്ചത് ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ പ്രകാശം ജില്ലയിലെ ടംഗൂറിനടുത്തുള്ള ഒരു ഗ്രാമത്തിലാണ്[7]. ചലച്ചിത്ര നിർമ്മാതാവ് ടി. കൃഷ്ണയുടെ ഇളയ മകനാണ്, അച്ഛൻ മരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് 8 വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. ഓംഗോളിലെ നിൽ ഡെസ്പെരാണ്ടം (അച്ഛൻ സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്) ചെന്നൈയിലെ രാമകൃഷ്ണ മിഷൻ സ്‌കൂൾ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലായിരുന്നു സ്‌കൂൾ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം. റഷ്യയിൽ മെക്കാനിക്കൽ എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് പഠിച്ചു.

അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠൻ പ്രേംചന്ദ് മുത്യാല സുബ്ബയ്യയുടെ കീഴിൽ അസോസിയേറ്റ് ഡയറക്ടറായിരുന്നു, ഡയറക്ടറായി പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി, എന്നിരുന്നാലും, അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു വാഹനാപകടത്തിൽ മരിച്ചു. അന്ന് റഷ്യയിലായിരുന്ന ഗോപിചന്ദിന് വിസ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങൾ കാരണം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശവസംസ്‌കാര ചടങ്ങുകളിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കാനായില്ല. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഒരു ദന്തഡോക്ടറായ ഒരു അനുജത്തിയും ഉണ്ട്.

എഞ്ചിനീയറിംഗ് പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയ ശേഷം, പിതാവിന്റെ പാരമ്പര്യം തുടരുന്നതിനായി സിനിമയിൽ കരിയർ തുടരാൻ അദ്ദേഹം തീരുമാനിക്കുകയും ഒരു വർഷത്തേക്ക് ഡയലോഗ് മോഡുലേഷൻ കോഴ്‌സ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. നടൻ പ്രഭാസിന്റെ അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്താണ്.

സിനിമ ജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

തോളി വളപ്പ് എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലൂടെയാണ് ഗോപിചന്ദ് നായകനായി അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിച്ചത്. തന്റെ അടുത്ത ചിത്രങ്ങളായ ജയം, നിജം, വർഷം എന്നിവയിൽ നെഗറ്റീവ് റോളുകൾ ചെയ്തു. ജയം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ അഭിനയത്തിന് ലഭിച്ച നല്ല സ്വീകാര്യതയെത്തുടർന്ന്, അതേ പേരിൽ ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ തമിഴ് ഭാഷാ റീമേക്കിൽ അദ്ദേഹം തന്റെ വേഷം വീണ്ടും അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. 2004-ൽ യജ്ഞം, 2005-ൽ അന്ധ്രുഡു എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൂടെ നായകനായി അദ്ദേഹം വീണ്ടും പ്രവേശിച്ചു. 2006-ൽ വാണിജ്യപരമായി വിജയിച്ച രണം, വാണിജ്യപരമായി പരാജയപ്പെട്ട രാരാജു എന്നിവയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം അഭിനയിച്ചു[8].

2007-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒക്കത്തുള്ളനാട്, ലക്ഷ്യം(ചന്തു) എന്നിവയും 2008-ൽ ഒന്താരിയും സൗര്യവും ആയിരുന്നു. സൗര്യത്തിന്റെ സംവിധായകൻ ശിവയുമായി 2009-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ശംഖത്തിന് വേണ്ടി അദ്ദേഹം ഒരിക്കൽ കൂടി സഹകരിച്ചു[9][10][11][12].

2010-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഗോലിമാർ, യഥാർത്ഥ ജീവിതത്തിലെ പോലീസുകാരൻ ദയാ നായക്കിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രചോദനം ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട ഒരു ഏറ്റുമുട്ടൽ സ്പെഷ്യലിസ്റ്റായി അഭിനയിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടു. 2011ൽ മൊഗുഡു, വാണ്ടഡ് എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചെങ്കിലും രണ്ടും വാണിജ്യപരമായ പരാജയങ്ങളായിരുന്നു. 2013-ൽ, ആക്ഷൻ-സാഹസിക ചിത്രമായ സാഹസം എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിനായി സംവിധായകൻ ചന്ദ്ര ശേഖർ യെലേറ്റിയുമായി (ഒക്കദുണ്ണാടിന് ശേഷം) അദ്ദേഹം വീണ്ടും ഒന്നിച്ചു, അത് അക്കാലത്ത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ വാണിജ്യ വിജയ ചിത്രമായി മാറി[13]. 2014-ൽ അദ്ദേഹം ലൗക്യം എന്ന സിനിമയിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചത് വാണിജ്യപരമായി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വിജയകരമായ ചിത്രമായി മാറി[14]. 2015ൽ ജിൽ, സൗഖ്യം എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അഭിനയിച്ചു. 2017-ൽ ഗൗതം നന്ദ, ഓക്‌സിജൻ എന്നീ ചിത്രങ്ങളിൽ അദ്ദേഹം അഭിനയിച്ചു, അവ രണ്ടും വാണിജ്യപരമായി പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു[15][16][17]. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുത്ത ചിത്രമായ ആറഡുഗുല ബുള്ളറ്റ് അതേ വർഷം തന്നെ റിലീസ് ചെയ്യാനിരുന്നെങ്കിലും 2021 വരെ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമായില്ല[18]. ഇത് ഒരു പതിവ് നാടകമായി മാറി, മറ്റൊരു തിരിച്ചടി നേരിട്ടു[19]. 2018-ൽ, തന്റെ 25-ാമത്തെ ചിത്രമായ പന്തത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു വിജിലന്റ് ആയി അഭിനയിച്ചു. 2019ൽ ചാണക്യയിൽ ചാരനായി അഭിനയിച്ചു.

2021 ജനുവരി മുതൽ, സമ്പത്ത് നന്ദി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന സ്പോർട്സ് ആക്ഷൻ ചിത്രമായ സീതിമാർ നിർമ്മാണത്തിലാണ്. തമന്ന ഭാട്ടിയ, ദിഗംഗന സൂര്യവംശി, ഭൂമിക ചൗള എന്നിവരാണ് ചിത്രത്തിലെ താരങ്ങൾ[20]. യുവി ക്രിയേഷൻസും GA2 പിക്‌ചേഴ്‌സും ചേർന്ന് നിർമ്മിക്കുന്ന മാരുതി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന പക്കാ കൊമേഴ്‌സ്യൽ എന്ന മറ്റൊരു ചിത്രത്തിലും അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിൽ നായികയായി റാഷി ഖന്നയുമാണ് അഭിനയികുന്നത്[21].

സ്വകാര്യ ജീവിതം[തിരുത്തുക]

2013ൽ തെലുങ്ക് നടൻ ശ്രീകാന്തിന്റെ മരുമകളായ രേഷ്മയെ അദ്ദേഹം വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു[22]. ദമ്പതികൾക്ക് രണ്ട് ആൺമക്കളുണ്ട്[23].
