അലാസ്ക സ്റ്റേറ്റിലെ വടക്കുപടിഞ്ഞാറെ ആർട്ടിക് ബറോയിലുള്ള ഒരു ചെറുപട്ടണമാണ് കോട്സെബ്യൂ. പട്ടണത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 2010 ലെ സെൻസസ് അനുസരിച്ച് 3,201 ആണ്. 1897 ൽ ഹിമസാരംഗത്തെ (Reindeer) മേയ്ക്കുന്ന ജോലി നാട്ടുകാരുടെയിടെയിൽ സാധാരണമായിരുന്നു. അലാസ്കയിൽ caribou എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന വന്യ ഹിമസാരംഗങ്ങൾ സർവ്വസാധാരണമായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും മെരുങ്ങിയ വർഗ്ഗത്തെ ഏഷ്യയിൽ നിന്ന് അലാസ്കയിലേയ്ക്ക് ഇറക്കുമതി ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു. 1899 ൽ പട്ടണത്തിൽ ഒരു പോസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസ് സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
