വിതരണം[തിരുത്തുക]
മെഡിറ്ററെനിയൻ കടലിനു ചുറ്റുമാണ് പ്രധാന പ്രജനന കേന്ദ്രം. വടക്കെ ആഫ്രിക്കയിൽമൊറോക്കോയിലും, അൾജീരിയ, ടുണീഷ്യ പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നു .ഈ അടുത്തായിഈജിപ്ത്, ലിബിയ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നതായി കാണുന്നു. തണുപ്പുകാലത്ത് പടിഞ്ഞാറാൻ യൂറോപ്പിലേക്കും തെക്കോട്ട് സെനഗൽ, ഗാംബിയ, ചെങ്കടൽഎന്നിവിടങ്ങ്ലിലേക്ക് ദെശാടാനമം നടത്തുന്നു.ജൂളായ് മുതൽ ഒക്ടൊബർ വരെ തെക്കൻ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിലേക്ക് പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നവയുമുണ്ട്. രൂപ വിവരണം[തിരുത്തുക]
52-68 സെ.മീ നീളം, 120-155 സെ.മീ ചിറകു വിരിപ്പ്,550-1600 ഗ്രാം തൂക്കം.[3][3] കാലുകൾക്ക് മഞ്ഞനിറം, പുറകുവശത്തിനു ചാര നിറം. കണ്ണിനു ചുറ്റും ചുവന്ന് വളയം ഉണ്ട്. കൊക്കിന് ചുവന്ന അടയാളവും ഉണ്ട്.
ഭക്ഷണം[തിരുത്തുക]
മിശ്രഭുക്ക് ആണ്.
പ്രജനനം[തിരുത്തുക]
കൂട്ടമായി പ്രജനനം നടത്തുന്നു. മാർച്ച് മുതൽ മേയ് വരെയുള്ള കാലത്ത് 3 മുട്ടകൾ ഇടുന്നു. 27-31 ദിവസത്തിനകം മുട്ട വിരിയും. 35-40 ദിവസംകൊണ്ട് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ പറക്കും.
