വടക്കുകിഴക്കൻ ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്ക, ഈശ്വതിനി, മൊസാംബിക്ക്, സിംബാബ്വെ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള കലാൻചോ ജനുസ്സിലെ ഒരു ഇനം പൂച്ചെടിയാണ് കലാൻചോ ലൂസിയ,അഥവാ പാഡിൽ പ്ലാന്റ്. [2] ഇത് റോയൽ ഹോർട്ടികൾച്ചറൽ സൊസൈറ്റിയുടെ ഗാർഡൻ മെറിറ്റ് അവാർഡ് നേടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. [3]
