കൊമോറോസിൽ [1]വളരുന്ന ഒരു കളാഞ്ചോ വർഗ്ഗ ചെടിയാണ് കലഞ്ചോ അഡെലേ[2]. കേരളത്തിൽ ഇലമേൽ പൊട്ടി എന്ന പേരിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ചെടിയുടെ കുടുംബത്തിൽ പെട്ടതാണിത്. ഫ്രഞ്ച് സസ്യശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനായ റെയ്മണ്ട് ഹാമെറ്റാണ് ഇത് കണ്ടെത്തിയത്[3] ഹാമെറ്റിന്റെ പരിചയക്കാരിയായ മാഡം അഡെലെ ലെ ചാർട്ടിയറുടെ പേരിലാണ് ഇത് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്[4]
