ഇച്ചാപുരം (Ichchapuram) ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ ശ്രീകാകുളം ജില്ലയിലെ ഒരു പട്ടണമാണ്. ജില്ലാതലസ്ഥാനമായ ശ്രീകാകുളം നഗരത്തിൽനിന്നും 142 കിലോമീറ്റർ അകലെയാണ് മുനിസിപ്പാലിറ്റിയായ ഈ സ്ഥലം സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്.[4]
ഭൂമിശാസ്ത്രം[തിരുത്തുക]
ഇച്ചാപുരം ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിന്റെയും ഒഡീഷയുടെയും അതിർത്തിയിൽ 19°07′N 84°42′E / 19.12°N 84.7°E എന്ന അക്ഷാംശ രേഖാംശങ്ങളിൽ കിടക്കുന്നു. [5] ശരാശരി സമുദ്രനിരപ്പിൽനിന്നും 7 metres (22 feet) ഉയരത്തിൽക്കിടക്കുന്ന ഈ പട്ടണം, ബഹുദ നദിയുടെ കരയിലാണു സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്നത്.
ജനസംഖ്യാവിവരം[തിരുത്തുക]
2011 സെൻസസ് പ്രകാരം, ഈ പട്ടണത്തിലെ ജനസംഖ്യ 36,493 ആണ്. ജനസംഖ്യയിൽ, 17,716 പുരുഷന്മാരും, 18,777 സ്ത്രീകളും 0–6 വയസ്സിലുള്ള 4,004 കുട്ടികളുമുണ്ട്, ശരാശരി സാക്ഷരതാനിരക്ക് 71.12% ആകുന്നു. ഇവിടെ 23,105 സാക്ഷരരായവരുണ്ട്. തെലുഗും ഒറീസയും ഇവിടെ സംസാരഭാഷയാണ്.
നിയമസഭാമണ്ഡലം[തിരുത്തുക]
ഇച്ചാപുരം ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ ഒരു അസംബ്ലി മണ്ഡലമാണ്. ബെണ്ടലം അശോക് ആണ് ഇവിടത്തെ നിയമസഭാംഗം.

സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസവകുപ്പിനുകീഴിലുള്ള പ്രാഥമികവിദ്യാലയങ്ങളും സെക്കണ്ടറി വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളും സർക്കാർ എയ്ഡഡ്, സ്വകാര്യമേഖലകളിലായി പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുവരുന്നു.[7][8] തെലുഗു, ഒഡിയ, ഇംഗ്ലിഷ് എന്നിവ വ്യത്യസ്ത സ്കൂളുകൾ പിന്തുടരുന്ന അദ്ധ്യനമാദ്ധ്യമങ്ങളാണ്.
