ഒരു ഗൈനക്കോളജിസ്റ്റും പ്രസവചികിത്സകനും വിക്ടോറിയൻ ഫുട്ബോൾ ലീഗിൽ (VFL) യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റി ഫുട്ബോൾ ക്ലബിനായി കളിച്ച ഓസ്ട്രേലിയൻ റൂൾസ് ഫുട്ബോൾ കളിക്കാരനുമായിരുന്നു ആർതർ മിച്ചൽ വിൽസൺ (24 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 1888 - 19 ഡിസംബർ 1947) DSO[1] .[2]
റോയൽ കോളേജ് ഓഫ് ഒബ്‌സ്റ്റട്രീഷ്യൻസ് ആൻഡ് ഗൈനക്കോളജിസ്റ്റിന്റെ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ഫെലോ ആയിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.[3]
ആർതർ വിൽസൺ മെമ്മോറിയൽ ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ ഫണ്ട് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് 1987 ൽ ആർതർ വിൽസൺ മെമ്മോറിയൽ സ്കോളർഷിപ്പ് സ്ഥാപിതമായി. മികച്ച ഗൈനക്കോളജിസ്റ്റും പ്രസവചികിത്സകനുമായ ആർതർ വിൽസന്റെ സ്മരണ ശാശ്വതമാക്കുന്നതിനായി ഒരു പൊതു അപ്പീൽ ആരംഭിച്ചതിന് ശേഷമാണ് 1951-ൽ ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ രൂപീകരിച്ചത്.[4] മെൽബണിലെ 8 ലാ ട്രോബ് സെന്റ് റോയൽ സൊസൈറ്റി ഓഫ് വിക്ടോറിയ ഹാളിന്റെ (1859) തെക്ക് ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് ഒരു വിപുലീകരണമായി നിർമ്മിച്ച ആർതർ വിൽസൺ മെമ്മോറിയൽ വിംഗിനായി (1954) ഫൗണ്ടേഷൻ ഫണ്ട് സ്വരൂപിച്ചു.
