മധ്യ അമേരിക്കയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള സിക്ലിഡ് മത്സ്യങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു ജനുസ്സാണ് ആർക്കോസെൻട്രസ്. ക്രിപ്റ്റോഹെറോസ് ജനുസ്സിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള 7 ഇനങ്ങളും മുമ്പ് അമാറ്റിറ്റ്‌ലാനിയ ജനുസ്സിൽ ഉൾപ്പെട്ട കൺവിക്റ്റ് സിക്ലിഡും ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു.^[1] ^[2] ^[3] ആർക്കോസെൻട്രസ് മൾട്ടിസ്പിനോസസ് എന്ന റെയിൻബോ സിക്ലിഡിനെ താൽക്കാലികമായി ആർക്കോസെൻട്രസ് ജനുസ്സിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും ഇപ്പോൾ അത് അതിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ ജനുസ്സായ ഹെറോടിലാപിയയിൽ തിരിച്ചെത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.^[4]
