ആം (ARM) പ്രോസസർ ആർക്കിടെക്ചറിനെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ളതാണ് ആപ്പിൾ എ4.[7]പുറത്തിറക്കിയ ആദ്യ പതിപ്പ് ഐപാഡിനായി 1 ജിഗാഹെർട്സ് വേഗതയിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു, കൂടാതെ പവർവിആർ എസ്‌ജിഎക്സ് 535 ഗ്രാഫിക്സ് പ്രോസസറുമായി (ജിപിയു) ജോടിയാക്കിയ എആർ‌എം കോർടെക്സ്-എ 8 സിപിയു കോർ അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.[8][9][10]സാംസങ്ങിന്റെ 45 എൻഎം സിലിക്കൺ ചിപ്പ് ഫാബ്രിക്കേഷൻ പ്രക്രിയയിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ചതാണിത്.[11]ഐഫോൺ 4, ഐപോഡ് ടച്ച് (നാലാം തലമുറ) എന്നിവയിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന യൂണിറ്റുകളുടെ ക്ലോക്ക് വേഗത 800 മെഗാഹെർട്സ് ആണ്, എന്നാൽ ആപ്പിൾ ടിവിയിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന യൂണിറ്റിന്റെ ക്ലോക്ക് സ്പീഡ് പുറത്തുവിട്ടിട്ടില്ല.
