ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ സാമൂഹ്യ സൈദ്ധാന്തികനും രാഷ്ട്രീയ മന:ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനും ശ്രദ്ധേയനായ സാമൂഹിക സാംസ്കാരിക രാഷ്ട്രീയ വിമർശകനുമാണ്‌ ആശിഷ് നന്ദി. പരിശീലനം സിദ്ധിച്ച സാമൂഹികശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ ക്ലിനിക്കൽ മന:ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞൻ എന്നീ നിലയിൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ചിന്താമണ്ഡലം പൊതുബോധം,രാഷ്ട്രീയ മന:ശാസ്ത്രം,സംഘടിത അക്രമം,ദേശീയത,സംസ്കാരം എന്നീ രംഗങ്ങളിൽ വ്യാപരിക്കുന്നതാണ്‌. അറിവിന്റെ സംസ്കാരങ്ങൾ,കാഴ്ചപ്പാട്, സംസ്കാരങ്ങൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള സം‌വാദങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയക്കായി അദ്ദേഹം പ്രവർത്തിച്ചു. സെന്റർ ഫോർ ദ സ്റ്റഡി ഓഫ് ഡെവലപ്പിങ്ങ് സോസൈറ്റീസിന്റെ(CSDS) മുതിർന്ന ഫെലോയും ഡയറക്ടറുമായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. 2004 വിരമിക്കുന്നത് വരെ നീണ്ടവർഷം അദ്ദേഹം ആ സ്ഥാനത്ത് തുടർന്നു. ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ മുതിർന്ന ഹോണററി ഫെലൊയാണ്‌.
വിവാദങ്ങൾ[തിരുത്തുക]
2013 ലെ ജയ്പുർ സാഹിത്യോത്സവത്തിലെ 'റിപ്പബ്ലിക് ഓഫ് ഐഡിയാസ്' എന്ന ചർച്ചയ്ക്കിടെ, അഴിമതിക്കാരേറെയും പട്ടികജാതി-വർഗത്തിലും മറ്റ് പിന്നാക്ക വിഭാഗങ്ങളിലും ഉള്ളവരാണ്. അതുതുടരുന്ന കാലത്തോളം ഇന്ത്യൻ റിപ്പബ്ലിക് നിലനിൽക്കും എന്ന പ്രസ്താവന വിവാദമായിരുന്നു[1] . നന്ദിയുടെ പ്രസംഗത്തിനെതിരെ വിവിധ രാഷ്ട്രീയപ്പാർട്ടികൾ രംഗത്തെത്തിയിരുന്നു. ഒരു പട്ടികജാതി വർഗസംഘടന പോലിസിൽ പരാതിയും നൽകി. ആശിഷ് നന്ദിയെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുന്നത് സുപ്രീം കോടതി സ്‌റ്റേ ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.[2]
