അംബോറില്ലേൽസ് നിരയിലെ ഏക കുടുംബമായ അംബോറില്ലേസീയിലെ ഏക ജനുസാണ് അംബോറില. ഈ ജനുസിലും ഒറ്റ സ്പീഷിസ് മാത്രമേയുള്ളൂ, അംബോറില ട്രിക്കോപോഡ. (ശാസ്ത്രീയനാമം: Amborella trichopoda). അടിക്കാടുകളായി കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ചെറുവൃക്ഷങ്ങളായ ഇത് ന്യൂ കാലിഡോണിയയിലെ ഗ്രാന്റ് ടെറ ദ്വീപിലെ തദ്ദേശവാസിയാണ്.[4][4] സപുഷ്പിസസ്യങ്ങളിലെ ഏറ്റവും ചുവട്ടിൽ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുള്ള ഈ സസ്യം സസ്യപഠിതാക്കൾക്ക് വളരെ കൗതുകമുണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഒന്നാണ്.
