ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ചലച്ചിത്രനിർമ്മാതാവും, ഉപകരണനിർമ്മാതാവുമായ റോബർട്ട് വില്ല്യം പോൾ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിലെ ഹൈബറിയിൽ ജനിച്ചു.(3 ഒക്ടോ: 1869 – 28 മാർച്ച് : 1943). ബ്രിട്ടിഷ് ചലച്ചിത്ര സാങ്കേതിക രംഗത്ത് പോൾ തന്റേതായ സംഭാവനകൾ നൽകിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ബ്രിട്ടനിൽ ആദ്യകാലത്തു ഉപയോഗിയ്ക്കപ്പെട്ട ക്യാമറ ബിർട്ട് ആക്രസ്സുമായി സഹകരിച്ചു പോൾ 1895, ൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച പോൾ ആക്രസ്സ്( Paul-Acres Camera) ആയിരുന്നു. ^[1]
