ആഫ്രിക്കൻ കൊമ്പിനടുത്ത് സോമാലിയൻ റിപ്പബ്ലിക്കിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു മേഖലയാണ് സോമാലിലാന്റ് (Somali: Soomaaliland, അറബി: أرض الصومال Arḍ aṣ-Ṣūmāl). [2][3] ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സോമാലിലാന്റിന്റെ പിൻഗാമിയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് 1991 ൽ സ്വതന്ത്രരായി രൂപപ്പെട്ട രാജ്യമാണെങ്കിലും മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും രാജ്യമോ അന്താരാഷ്ട്രസംഘടനകളോ ഇതിനെ അംഗീകരിച്ചിട്ടില്ല. [4][5]
സോമാലിലാന്റിന്റെ തെക്ക് പടിഞ്ഞാറ് ഏത്യോപ്യയും, ജിബോട്ടി പടിഞ്ഞാറും ഏദൻ കടലിടുക്ക് വടക്കു ഭാഗത്തായും , പുണ്ട്ലാന്റ് കിഴക്കായും സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നു.
