ബിഹാവിയറൽ ന്യൂറോളജി, സൈക്കോഫിസിക്സ് എന്നീ മേഖലകളിൽ അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ന്യൂറോ ശാസ്ത്രജ്ഞനാണ് വിളയന്നൂർ എസ്. രാമചന്ദ്രൻ എന്ന വിളയന്നൂർ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ രാമചന്ദ്രൻ തമിഴ് നാട്ടിലെ വിളയനൂർ സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യന്റേയും മീനാക്ഷിയുടേയും മകനായി 1951 ൽ ജനിച്ചു. സെന്റർ ഫോർ ബ്രയിൻ ആന്റ് കോഗ്നീഷന്റെ ഡയരക്ടറായി[1][2][3] പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന ഇദ്ദേഹം സാൻഡിയാഗീവിലെ യൂനിവേർസിറ്റി ഓഫ് കാലിഫോർണിയയിലെ സൈക്കോളജി[4] ആന്റ് ന്യൂറോസയൻസസ് ഗ്രാജൂവേറ്റ് പ്രോഗ്രാം[5] വിഭാഗത്തിൽ പ്രൊഫസറായും പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
