27 ജൂലൈ, 1967 ലാണ് രാഹുൽ ജനിച്ചത്. ചെറുപ്പകാലത്ത് തന്നെ ബോക്സിംഗ്, റഗ്ബി എന്നീ കളികളിൽ പ്രാവീണ്യം നേടിയിരുന്നു.[1] വിദ്യഭ്യാസ കാലത്ത് പ്രസിദ്ധ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് കളിക്കാരനായിരുന്ന മൻസൂർ അലി ഖാൻ പട്ടോടിയുടെ കീഴിൽ ക്രിക്കറ്റ് അഭ്യസിച്ചിരുന്നു.[2]
