ഗുജറാത്തിലെ നാലാമത്തെ വലിയ നഗരമാണ് രാജ്കോട് (Gujarati: રાજકોટ, ഹിന്ദി: राजकोट, ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Rājkot, pronunciation ). 1.43 ദശലക്ഷം ജനസംഖ്യയുള്ള രാജ്കോട് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വൻ നഗരങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ 28മാതാണ്. [5][6] ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ വേഗതയിൽ വളരുന്ന നഗരങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടികയിൽ ഇത് 22 ആം സ്ഥാനത്താണ്. [7]

രാജ്കോട് ജില്ലയാണ് ഇവിടുത്തെ ഭരണകൂടം. അജി നദിയുടെ തീരത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന രാജ്കോട് ആദ്യകാലത്ത് സൌരാഷ്ട്രയുടെ തലസ്ഥാന നഗരിയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട്, 1 നവംബർ 1956 ന് ഇത് ബോംബെയുമായി ലയിച്കു. പിന്നീട് ബോംബെയിൽ നിന്നും ഇത് മെയ് 1, 1960 ന് ഗുജറത്തിലേക്ക് ലയിച്ചു.
