1601 ആഗസ്റ്റ് 17 -ാം തീയതിയാണ് ഫെർമ ജനിച്ചത്. തുളോസെയാണ് ജനനസ്ഥലം. പിതാവ് ഒരു തുകൽ വ്യാപാരി ആയിരുന്നു. ബാലകാല വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം വീട്ടിൽ വച്ചുതന്നെയാണ് നടത്തിയത്
