പക്ഷികളെ ബാധിക്കുന്ന ഒരു വൈറസ് രോഗമാണ്. പക്ഷിപ്പനി. (ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്: Avian flu, Bird flu)പക്ഷികളിൽ നിന്നും മനുഷ്യനിലേക്ക് പടർന്നു പിടിക്കുന്ന ഈ രോഗം 2003 ൽ ഏഷ്യയാകെ ഭീതി വിതയ്ക്കുകയുണ്ടായി. മനുഷ്യനിലും പന്നിയിലും ജ്വരം ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന ഓർത്തോമിക്സോവൈറസുകളിൽ ചിലത് ഘടനാവ്യത്യാസം വരുത്തി പക്ഷികളിലും ജീവിക്കാൻ കഴിവുനേടിയതാണ് പക്ഷികളിലും ഈ അസുഖമുണ്ടാവാൻ കാരണം.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
