1933 മുതല് 1945 വരെ അഡോള്ഫ് ഹിറ്റ്ലറുടെയും ദേശീയ സോഷ്യലിസ്റ്റ് ജര്മന് തൊഴിലാളി പാര്ട്ടിയുടെയും (NSDAP) ഭരണത്തിന്കീഴിലുള്ള ജര്മന് രാജ്യത്തിനു ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സംസാരഭാഷയിലുള്ള പേരാണ് നാസി ജര്മനി അഥവാ ദി തേര്ഡ് റെയ്ശ്. തേര്ഡ് റെയ്ശ് അഥവാ മൂന്നാം റെയ്ശ് എന്നത് വിശുദ്ധ റോമാ സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിനും 1871 മുതല് 1918 വരെ നിലവിലിരുന്ന ജര്മന് സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിനും ശേഷം നിലവില് വന്നത് എന്നു സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ജര്മനില് 1943 വരെ ഡോയിഷെസ് റെയ്ശ് (ജര്മന് റെയ്ശ്) എന്നറിയപ്പെട്ട രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ ഔദ്യോഗിക നാമം 1943നുശേഷം ഗ്രോസ്ഡൊയിഷെസ് റെയ്ശ് (ശ്രേഷ്ഠ ജര്മന് റെയ്ശ്) എന്നു മാറ്റി.
