ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ മത്സ്യമാണ് തിമിഗല സ്രാവ് (Whale Shark). പതിനഞ്ചു മീറ്റര്‍ വരെ ഈ ഭീമന്‍ സ്രാവിനു നീളമുണ്ടാവും. വായിലൂടെ ജലം വലിച്ചെടുത്ത് അതിലുള്ള ക്രസ്റ്റേഷ്യനുകളേയും (Crustaceans) മത്സ്യങ്ങളേയുമൊക്കെ ഗില്‍ റാക്കറുകള്‍ (gill rakers) ഉപയോഗിച്ച് അരിച്ചെടുത്താണ് ഇവ ആഹാരം സമ്പാദിക്കുന്നത്. ഫൈലം - Chordata. ക്ലാസ് - Chondrichthyer.
