ദക്ഷിണേഷ്യയിൽ കണ്ടുവരുന്ന ഒരിനം നെയ്ത്തുകാരൻ കുരുവിയാണ് കായലാറ്റ(ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്:Streaked Weaver). ആറ്റക്കുരുവികളുടെ അത്ര വ്യാപകമായി ഇവയെ കണ്ടുവരുന്നില്ല. ആറ്റക്കുരുവികളുടെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അടിഭാഗം പോലെ ഇവയുടെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ അടിഭാഗത്തും പല നിറത്തിലുള്ള വരകൾ കാണാം. Ploceus Manyar എന്നാണ് ശാസ്ത്രനാമം. ഇവ പുല്ലിലാണ് കൂടൊരുക്കുന്നത്. തൂക്കണാം കുരുവിയേക്കാൾ ചെറിയ കൂടുകളാണ് ഇവയുടേത്. [1]
